ACC provides free rides via Lyft for reproductive care related appointments in the Madison County area. Reproductive care includes prenatal and postpartum appointments, mental health appointments, parenting and support groups or classes, and more. Emergency contraceptive (sometimes called EC, Plan B or Julie) can help prevent a pregnancy if taken 72 hours after sex. This medicine prevents pregnancy; it is not an abortion pill and will not end a pregnancy that has already started. Free EC is available either through the mail or we can get to you faster if you have an urgent need and you're in the Madison County area.
Our reproductive care navigators are available via text or phone to help you navigate any aspect of reproductive care--whether that's booking appointments, figuring out what kind of support you need, or arranging logistics to help you get there.

Alabama Cohosh partners with North Alabama Community Care (NACC) to provide free electric breast pumps for people on Medicaid. If you are a pregnant or lactating parent on Medicaid, please contact your NACC care coordinator to request a pump.
