Jane is the mother of two who believes community support is vital to the success of families.
During her first pregnancy, Jane found herself frustrated with the limited maternity care choices in north Alabama. She became passionate about birth education and the topics of informed consent, reporting of birth statistics, breastfeeding support, and access to midwifery care.
Over the last several years Jane has led parenting support groups, organized community events, and presented on the topic of unmedicated birth at local expositions. She believes that every pregnant person has the right to respectful and evidence-based care during each step of pregnancy and birth.
